I want to take a moment to speak directly from the heart. Nursing is hard. Some days are long, some are unexpectedly difficult, and many of the most meaningful moments happen quietly, behind the scenes. But you — every one of you — bring unwavering dedication to this work. You comfort, you heal, you advocate. You hold hands, you listen, you reassure. You care for others’ families over the holidays, and your compassion makes all the difference.  Thank you especially to those who care for our patients over the Thanksgiving holiday.

You also lean on each other: passing on wisdom, supporting one another after a tough shift, and celebrating each other’s successes. That sense of community, of shared purpose, is what makes us strong.

I want to thank our many support services — from CNA/PCTs and Unit clerks to housekeeping, supply management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, EKG technicians, volunteers, and transport — the list goes on! They all make it possible for us to shine.
